Chapter TitleChance of a Lifetime

Jasmine was born in Oakland California and raised between California and Illinois. Lover of the Lord, this woman of God touches the hearts of man by lending herself back unto His hands to do His mighty works here on earth day in and day out. Finding one’s life purpose is her mission as she walks in the world gracefully guided by the hand of the master.

She is a 44 year old single mother of two successful musicians, Lyric Fox of Howard University’s Show Band and Cadence Strange of Pacific Boy Choir Academy/Oakland Symphony; graduate of the University of Illinois; author of the book “Uncommon Grace”, independent recording artist and song writer; two time 9QUOTA Gospel Artist of the Year recipient; 2018 Bay Area Gospel Award nominee for Up and Coming Artist of the Year. Jasmine Strange currently sings with the Oakland Symphony and she is a member of the singing group Judah. She is a professional and certified educator of over 20 years and has received Teacher of the Year recognition at two of her teaching locations, Illinois and California. Vice President of her police academy class, she’s a former police officer and received a leadership award from the Mayor of Bellwood, Illinois where she served. Amongst all else, Jasmine has an athletic side to her. She formerly played women’s basketball for the University of Illinois and was captain of her squad before becoming the youngest head coach on the (MCC) Mid-West Collegiate Conference as Head Coach of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Program at Loyola University; Jasmine has now taken the direction of public speaking and life coaching. She aspires to inspire the world by not only modeling in photos, yet another career of hers, but also by modeling the walk of Christ and the principles which God has set for us to use to improve the wholeness of our lives here on earth. She has since founded the organization G.I.G.G.L.E., Girls’ In God’s Grace Laugh Eternally, striving to restore the joy back into the lives of our youth.

Jasmine is currently under the leadership of Bishop Carl C. Smith at New Destiny Church, Pittsburg, California where she sings on the praise team with True Worship. She was the vocal director and praise and worship leader at Seed of Faith and directed the youth choir during her stint with the ministry. She has both hosted music workshops and spoken at various music workshops. Her charismatic personality and vocal gifts landed her positions such as vocal director for several plays, the latest being the WIZ ( CCC ) Theatre as well as a major acting/vocal role in the world premiere of Xtigone written by Nambi E. Kelly (African American Theatre Company).
