Taliah Johnson is a wife, a mother and an author living in the San Francisco Bay Area. With a successful blog (mommymusings03.wordpress.com), Taliah writes under the pen name Joneé Writes where she provides her perspective on motherhood, friendship, marriage, and being a woman of color using comedy, spirituality and personal anecdotes. Through her writing, she desires that the reader laugh with her, cry with her, and see themselves in her journey as she writes from her lens.

 

Having graduated from Holy Names University (Oakland, CA - Business Management) and the American Baptist Seminary of the West (Berkeley, CA -Masters of Divinity), Taliah worked in the corporate office of a financial institution for a number of years, and participated in leading children’s, youth and young adult ministries for a number of years as well. She has a heart for people and thrives in the company of others who are also committed to living lives devoted to self-reflection, self-improvement, and self-forgiveness.

 

By sharing her triumphs and blunders as a Christian, a woman, a wife, and a mother, Taliah wants the reader to “Be strong and find encouragement in the fact that you are not alone.” She uses her stories to illustrate that even with all you’ve gone through, you can still be used of God to be a blessing to others. Through her honesty, she emphasizes that we must be able to laugh at ourselves. Life is too short. You are not damaged goods. You can still make yourself proud even though you’ve encountered rough waters on your voyage to self-love and acceptance.

 

Taliah and her wonderful husband Kristofer are blessed to do life together with their beautifully gifted daughters, Ava and Zola.
