Chapter Title: Courage to Heal

Julie Bennett is a devout Christian, wife, mother, victim advocate, public speaker and a successful healthcare executive. Julie was born and raised in Europe and moved to the United States at the age of 18 to study at Fisk University. Julie is trilingual, French being her native language, German her secondary language and English her tertiary language. Despite having gone to school in Germany and then transitioning to American school prior to moving to Nashville, she graduated with a BS in Biology and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha.

Julie loves being a wife to her amazing husband and best friend Cedrice L. Bennett, M. Th, and mother to their son and miracle baby Cedrice David Bennett the most. Out of all her accolades, she has been quoted as saying that being a wife and mother has been her best accomplishment to date. She strives to be the best Godly wife and mother God expects her to be, and the wife and mother her husband and son need. She also strives to be the Proverbs 31-woman in all that she does.

Furthermore, she is a passionate victim advocate and loves helping broken people heal; specifically, children and adult survivors of childhood trauma, and victims who have been sexually and or physically abused are her area of expertise. She enjoys helping them gain their voices, and transform themselves from victims to victors through finding hope and healing in Jesus Christ. Her desire to help those who are hurting heal propelled her to launch a non-profit organization, which transitioned from the Healing and Hope Foundation to a current women’s group called Women Without Limits. Professionally she enjoys working in the healthcare industry, where she is fervent about cultivating processes for better patient care and healthcare operations one process at a time.

Julie feels blessed to have discovered the freedom to live victoriously through applying God's Word to her life and in turn desires to help others do the same. From her struggles of everyday life, she speaks openly and practically about her experiences so others can apply what she has learned to their lives.

She is an incredible testimony to the dynamic, redeeming work of Jesus Christ. She believes that regardless of a person's background or past mistakes, God has a place for them and can help them on their path to enjoying everyday life.
